CHART FEATURE
Retrograde
A planet is retrograde when it appears to move backward through the zodiac from Earth's perspective.
Retrograde periods are traditionally cautioned against for new beginnings related to that planet's domain (e.g., avoid signing contracts during Mercury retrograde). Modern practice treats retrogrades as review/revision periods rather than outright avoidance.
