Start with the question you are actually asking. Each route uses the same exact chart math, but the input, cost, and output are different.
What's under the hood
The chooser cards stay plain. These are the technical astrology and astronomy terms you may see once you open a deeper tool.
- Swiss Ephemeris
- The astronomy library used for exact planet positions. We keep the name here for readers who want the source of the math.
- Dasha
- A Vedic timing-period system. On entry pages we call it a timing period first and name the technique here.
- Sidereal
- A zodiac measured against the star background, used where the Vedic timing method requires it.
- Nakshatra
- A lunar mansion. The Vedic chart uses it for Moon-based timing periods and temperament context.
- Varga
- A divisional chart. These are technical Vedic subcharts, kept out of the chooser cards by default.
