Malefic

Malefic is the traditional classification for planets whose default influence is challenging: Mars (lesser malefic) and Saturn (greater malefic).

Malefics on angles in a solar return or electional chart introduce friction, delay, or conflict for the intent. Some release-tenor intents (banishing, severing, removing) actually benefit from angular malefics — context matters.
