TECHNIQUE
Annual Profection
Annual profection is a Hellenistic time-lord technique that advances the natal Ascendant by one whole sign per year of life, activating one house and one ruling planet per year.
At age 0 the profection sits in the 1st house. Each birthday it moves forward one sign. The ruler of that profected sign becomes the lord of the year — the planet whose transits and natal condition shape the year's events most directly. Profection layers cleanly with solar returns and transits.
