FAQ

Vedic Chart questions

Why is my Vedic sign different?

Most Vedic calculators use a sidereal zodiac, while most Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac. This reading leads with the tropical Vedic frame and keeps the sidereal comparison in a technical drawer for stability checks.

What is a dasha?

A dasha is a traditional planetary timing period. This route starts with Vimshottari dasha from the sidereal Moon nakshatra and shows the active period without treating it as a guaranteed event.

What is a nakshatra?

A nakshatra is one of the lunar mansions used in Vedic astrology. The Moon nakshatra is especially important because it anchors the dasha clock.

What is Navamsa?

Navamsa, or D9, is a divisional chart used for maturity, dharma, and relationship context. It is one layer, not a replacement for the main chart.

What is Sade Sati?

Sade Sati is the Saturn transit across the 12th, 1st, and 2nd signs from the sidereal Moon. The report treats it as a context window, not a doom label.

Why compare tropical and sidereal?

The default reading is tropical Vedic. Sidereal is still computed for nakshatra, Vimshottari dasha, and frame-proof checks, and the side-by-side comparison remains available for technical review.
